During a recent interview on the Club 520 podcast with former NBA player Jeff Teague, Bow Wow shared some surprising revelations about beats he passed on throughout his career.

One of the beats he mentioned passing on was for Wale’s “Lotus Flower Bomb” featuring Miguel, as he struggled to come up with lyrics for it. Additionally, he disclosed that Polow da Don mistakenly sent him the beat for Lil Wayne and Rick Ross’ “John,” which he had used for a now-lost collaboration with Gucci Mane.

Bow Wow also revealed that he and Meek Mill had the beat for “Stay Schemin” before it became a hit for Rick Ross, French Montana, and Drake. He shared, “We had the beat first. You can look that up on YouTube. We had it first. We in Miami in the studio working on the beat together.”

The rapper acknowledged that beats being passed around is a common occurrence in the music industry, saying, “It’s just crazy how these beats get submitted to artists and we all get them.” He expressed gratitude for being able to share these stories, noting that many artists have similar experiences.
