Regina Ventura, mother of Cassie Ventura, testified in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial that the music mogul demanded $20,000 from her to prevent the release of explicit videos of her daughter.

Ventura claimed Combs was upset about Cassie being with another person and took out a home equity loan to pay him off. The money was later returned, but Ventura expressed fear for her daughter’s safety during the ordeal.

Ventura also documented her daughter’s injuries allegedly caused by Combs in 2011. She testified that she called the police when Cassie informed her that Diddy had taken her phone. The defense chose not to cross-examine Ventura’s statements, leaving her damaging testimony unchallenged.

Cassie, who was Diddy’s girlfriend at the time, testified about a separate incident where Diddy abruptly left a sexual encounter to confront another music industry figure, causing her distress. The disgraced mogul faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.

Prosecutors allege he used his fame to exploit victims, while Diddy maintains his innocence. If convicted, he could face 15 years to life in prison.
