During the second week of his trial, 50 Cent took to social media to share his thoughts on a video circulating online showing individuals wearing “Free Diddy” shirts outside Manhattan federal court. In the video, a group of people can be seen donning the shirts, with claims that they were paid $20 an hour to do so.
In response to the video, 50 Cent posted, “Diddy paying people to wear Free Diddy shirts is diabolical. But $20 a hour ain’t bad. I might go throw that on for a hour tomorrow.” The video was originally shared by writer Emilie Hagen, who explained that the individuals were paid protesters and that she had been approached to participate as well.
One bystander featured in the video shared that she had been offered $20 to wear the shirt but declined the opportunity. She mentioned that the recruiter informed her it was for a ‘Diddy coin’ but did not elaborate on what that meant. The witness also noted that the woman trying to recruit her had been paid $60 for three hours of work the day before.
Meanwhile, in the courtroom, former Bad Boy artist Dawn Richard has been providing testimony regarding witnessing Diddy’s alleged mistreatment of Cassie Ventura.
