The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, were central figures in 1990s hip-hop. However, their shared history doesn’t excuse Diddy from facing multiple sexual assault and rape allegations, Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, asserts.
In a recent Rolling Stone article, Wallace expressed her thoughts on Diddy’s alleged behavior, notably his assault on former partner Cassie, caught on camera. “I’m sick to my stomach. I’m praying for Cassie and his mother. I don’t want to believe the allegations, but I’ve seen the hotel video. I pray he apologizes to her,” Wallace shared.
Wallace also stated her desire to confront Diddy personally: “I hope to see Sean one day, and all I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. You can quote me on that. I liked him and didn’t want to believe the awful stories, but now I’m ashamed and embarrassed.”
The Rolling Stone investigation, spanning six months and interviews with over 50 people associated with Diddy, revealed troubling incidents dating back to his years at Howard University in the late 1980s. One source recounted an incident where Diddy allegedly used a belt to strike a woman repeatedly. “Puff whupped her butt — like really whupped her butt,” the source stated.
The report also included allegations of Diddy attacking the late Def Jam executive Shakir Stewart for dating his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, and another of him assaulting a woman in Bad Boy’s office in 1994. Additionally, a graphic designer claimed Diddy sexually harassed her at a party celebrating his acquittal in the 1999 nightclub shooting.
Diddy’s recent legal troubles have amplified calls for accountability and justice for his alleged victims.
