R&B icon Usher will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 BET Awards, recognizing his enduring impact on music and culture. The announcement was made on Instagram, showcasing Usher’s significant contributions to the music industry and his unforgettable performances on the BET stage.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is a prestigious accolade previously awarded to notable artists such as Busta Rhymes, Queen Latifah, and Mary J. Blige. This year, Usher is also nominated for four BET Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, and Best Collaboration for his song “Good Good” with 21 Savage and Summer Walker.
In addition to his BET Awards recognition, Usher will receive the ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award next month. This award honors ASCAP members who have significantly influenced music and culture and acknowledges their success as creators and changemakers.
