Rapper Kayo Gets Optomistic On New Single Off Of His ‘Small Victories’ LP

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Christian rapper Kayo could always be found freestyling at the dinner table or making tackles on the football field. After locking down receivers at his cornerback position for four seasons at Morgan State and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Kayo returned to his grass roots in North Carolina. This also meant a return to his passion, making music.

His latest track, “I Ain’t Got It,” is a ‘glass is a half full’ anthem for those who choose the brighter side of the often dire situations they face in life. He two-steps in his kitchen eating a “struggle” peanut butter sandwich, before the video later reveals a seemingly higher budget shot where he exclaims his come-up. “Now my house is bigger than my mama’s house; so now I need to hustle for my mama’s house,” he exclaims.

The song is the lead release off of his 15-song LP, Small Victories, which is available now on his website for both stream and purchase. It also featured 30 videos released over 30 days, which you can see here. “I Ain’t Got It,” for reference, was video number 6 in the project.
