Pras Michel, a member of the legendary NJ trio Fugees, has dropped his lawsuit against fellow group member Lauryn Hill. This move comes just days before he is scheduled to be sentenced to 14 years in prison.
The lawsuit, which had sought to address claims regarding financial disputes and business dealings, was filed in 2022. It alleged that Hill failed to fulfill obligations related to a joint venture. However, court documents filed on March 15 indicate that Pras has decided to withdraw the case.
Pras was convicted of multiple charges in connection with a conspiracy to provide illegal campaign contributions to a presidential candidate. His sentencing, set for March 20, includes penalties for charges related to foreign influence on electoral processes.
The Fugees were once one of the most influential hip-hop groups, known for their critically acclaimed album “The Score.” Hill’s contributions to the group, particularly her vocals and songwriting, have received widespread acclaim.
