Rapper Skilla Baby, real name Trevon Gardner, was injured in a drive-by shooting in Detroit, Michigan. The incident resulted in the MC crashing his vehicle into a building. Investigators suspect the shooting was a deliberate attempt on his life, with the unknown suspect firing about 25 rounds at the rapper’s vehicle.
Skilla Baby was alone at the time of the shooting while driving through 8 Mile and Beech Daly. Lead investigator Edward French reported that the bullets caused the rapper to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a building, sustaining injuries in the process. Skilla Baby was shot in the hand, grazed in the head and back, and also suffered a thigh injury.
Despite the injuries, Skilla Baby is reportedly doing well and expressed gratitude for the support from his fans. The shooter fled the scene, but a witness transported the rapper to the hospital and alerted law enforcement. A video shared on Instagram showed a black Tahoe truck lodged into a building, with police marking bullet casings on the ground.
