Rapper Kid Cudi testified in the Sean “Diddy” Combs sex trafficking trial, claiming that Diddy was involved in setting his car on fire in 2012. Cudi stated that he began dating Cassie Ventura in 2011 while she was no longer involved with Diddy due to relationship problems.

After Cassie alerted Cudi that Diddy had found out about them in December 2011, Cudi received a call from Diddy’s employee claiming Diddy was in his Hollywood Hills home. Cudi later discovered his car ablaze in his driveway, allegedly due to a Molotov cocktail thrown inside.

Cassie previously testified that Diddy had threatened her and Cudi, expressing a desire to set Cudi’s car on fire while he was out of the country. Cudi described a meeting with Diddy in a Los Angeles hotel room where Diddy appeared calm, resembling a “Marvel supervillain.”

Despite the incident, Diddy later apologized to Cudi, surprising him. Witnesses in the trial include Cassie, Dawn Richard, David James, Israel Florez, sex workers, Gerard Gannon, Dawn Hughes, and others. Diddy faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, with a potential sentence of 15 years to life if convicted.
