Havoc – 13 Reloaded

Do you like Mobb Deep? Do you like Havoc production? Well you’ll love this project – it’s that simple. Hav’s (oddly enough) 14 joint effort 13 Reloaded is unapologetically raw, no interludes, no filler, just a hot batch of self-produced new music. There are very few features: Cormega on the retrospective Fallen Soldiers, Mysonne on Tear Shit Up, Sheek Louch on the ode to realness What I Rep and P himself on the only complete Mobb Joint, Uncut Raw – the projects clear standout.

It’s dope to hear this type of album 20 years after the M-O-B-B first grabbed our attention and refused to let go. Many rappers fall off or try really hard to fit in – it almost feels like most 90’s Queensbridge acts resisted that trend (i.e Mobb, Cormega, CNN, Tragedy). This album is a great listen for any real fan, and even new ones who are looking for some authentic street music.
