After years of rumors, false starts and fan anticipation, hip-hop duo Clipse have officially announced their first album in 15 years. Titled Let God Sort Em Out, the record is set for release on July 11, 2025, and marks the long-awaited return of brothers Pusha T and No Malice.
The story of Clipse is one of triumph and turbulence. Emerging from Virginia Beach in the early 2000s alongside Pharrell Williams, the duo redefined street rap with their critically acclaimed albums Lord Willin’ and Hell Hath No Fury. Their razor-sharp lyricism, paired with Pharrell’s minimalist, icy production, made them cult icons and industry tastemakers.
But after 2009’s Til the Casket Drops, the group’s trajectory shifted dramatically. Their longtime manager, Anthony Gonzales, was convicted on federal drug charges, casting a shadow over the group and forcing both artists to reevaluate their paths.
No Malice, shaken by the scrutiny and a personal health scare, stepped away from the spotlight and leaned into faith. Pusha T, meanwhile, pursued a solo career that ultimately vaulted him to the top tier of hip-hop.
Whispers of a reunion never fully quieted. At Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week in June 2024, Clipse performed a new track featuring John Legend—rumored to be titled “Birds Don’t Sing”—a raw, introspective piece grappling with the grief of losing both parents. The performance reignited hope, though no formal album announcement followed.
Now, Let God Sort Em Out is official—and it promises to blend the duo’s signature grit with a more reflective, message-driven edge. Produced entirely by Pharrell, the album includes a feature from Nas and a recurring vocal tag—“this is culturally inappropriate”—originally meant as a watermark but kept for its striking effect.
The project will be distributed via Roc Nation and accompanied by KAWS-designed visuals and exclusive merchandise. For Clipse, this isn’t just a comeback—it’s a new chapter rooted in wisdom, creative growth and brotherhood.
The lead single “Ace Trumpets” is out now.
