Six years after their fan-favorite collaboration Stabbed & Shot, Benny The Butcher and 38 Spesh have finally released the highly anticipated sequel, Stabbed & Shot 2. The duo also dropped a new video for “Internal Affairs,” featuring OT The Real.
2024 has been a banner year for Benny The Butcher. Following his major label solo debut Everybody Can’t Go on Def Jam, he released two summer projects: Summertime Butch and Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1, the latter including a long-awaited Drake collaboration. Benny’s ability to balance gritty street lyricism with mainstream appeal has cemented his status as one of hip-hop’s most versatile voices.
38 Spesh has also been busy, recently dropping the critically acclaimed Mother & Gun, which showcased his skills as both an emcee and producer.
The duo acknowledges the high expectations for their sequel but rises to the challenge. Stabbed & Shot 2 surpasses its predecessor, delivering a masterclass in plug talk and survival tactics. Benny and Spesh’s chemistry has only improved, their distinct styles blending seamlessly as they craft vivid street narratives.
“Stabbed & Shot 2 is a sound that can only come from experienced street hustlers,” Benny explains. “It’s pure intellectual street dialect mixed with hindsight.”
38 Spesh adds, “When me and bro go back and forth, it’s trouble. The best to do it, believe that.”
The album features guest appearances and production from Busta Rhymes, Dave East, Ransom, Harry Fraud, Daringer, ElCamino, OT The Real, Bink, V Don, Klass Murda and StreetRunner.
Stabbed & Shot 2 is now available via BSF/TCF Records.
