2 Chainz, known for his love of marijuana and his ventures in the cannabis industry, could easily be placed among the top enthusiasts in the game. However, his passion for smoking weed almost caused a collaboration to go awry.
During an interview on Club Shay Shay, 2 Chainz shared that he was initially prohibited from smoking weed around Eminem by the rapper’s team.
The ban was later lifted by Em himself, but 2 Chainz recounted the amusing incident that led to the temporary restriction.
“I couldn’t smoke in there when I worked with Eminem,” 2 Chainz explained, noting that it was Eminem’s team, not the rapper himself, who enforced the rule. “It was his people, not Eminem. Eminem was somewhere writing but his people are just so concerned with him, they put the speakers outside so I could listen to the beat.”
Despite the initial prohibition, 2 Chainz found humor in the situation. He described a moment when he was smoking outside the studio in Malibu and returned to find Eminem in the booth. Eminem’s team tried to prevent him from entering, but Eminem himself was unfazed by the smoke.
